Kristian Lazcano (11) devotes much of his free time to writing, despite having a busy academic schedule. He prefers writing short narratives on topics he finds inspiring and takes a more creative approach towards his work. Kristian has not always had this passion for writing. “When I was younger, I always hated [writing] so much, but I think it was because I didn’t know what to write about,” Kristian said. “When I realized that there doesn’t have to be a specific outline and it could be just a form of creative expression, [that] is what really got me into it.” Since then, he has been able to find a passion for writing and hopes to continue pursuing it in the future.
