Madelynn Le (12), born and raised in Santa Barbara, enjoys spending time in the Ethnic Studies Now! club, in which she is the vice president. Madelynn also volunteers at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital on weekends, where she escorts and assists patients and visitors. “I think it’s nice to be able to meet people and try to brighten their day even with small acts,” Madelynn said. When she’s not making people smile, Madelynn likes to listen to punk music because of the inspiring messages it sends, as well as spending time with friends, and creating art.
