Ruby Myers’s (9) favorite comfort food is Margherita pizza, which she enjoys making with her family. “My dad makes really good pizza,” Myers said. “It’s kind of, like, special doing it with the whole family. When he makes it we’re all in the kitchen together.” Margherita pizza is a pizza topped with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, and basil.

Sara Rivera’s (11) favorite comfort food is Alfredo pasta with bread, which she grew up eating. This dish is special to her because her mom makes the Alfredo sauce homemade. Her favorite memory of the food is when her mom made it for her birthday. Alfredo pasta is pasta topped with Alfredo sauce. Alfredo sauce is a sauce made with butter, parmesan cheese, and cream.

Shanae Lovejoy’s (11) favorite comfort food is pizza. “It’s really delicious,” Lovejoy said. “You can pick a ton of toppings…my best memory with pizza is probably making it on Valentine’s Day with my friends and making heart shaped pizzas and just adding our favorite toppings.”

Sophia Abbott’s (11) favorite comfort food is tortillas with butter. “I just really like them,” Abbott said. “You just pop them in the microwave for fifteen seconds and it’s just really good.”
