“Immediately after school ends, my and a bunch of other friends are going to do a walking tour,” Librarian Alexa Levesque said. “So every day we have to walk 19 miles or so to get from our first bed and breakfast to our second bed and breakfast … And then after that my husband will fly to join me and then we’re going to go to the Faroe Islands and do some hiking there and see puffins.”

“This year I’m teaching summer school, so summer really starts for me July 4, and then I’m planning on doing some remodeling in my home, and then I’m spending a week in Newport Beach with my wife’s family and all her brothers and their kids,” Medical Biology teacher Michael Lynch said.

“The first part of summer I have to read a lot of books because I am teaching a new class,” English teacher Vanessa Munoz said. “I’m teaching Mexican American Literature and I’m so excited … So I’m excited to spend my summer reading. I will also probably be going out of town, maybe like San Diego to visit some friends from undergrad. I think I also have plans to go to Oregon with my boyfriend in August.”

“This summer, I am heading down to San Diego to spend time with my parents down there and visit some friends,” Social Studies teacher Marcus Escalera said. “I am also heading to LA for some professional development, to study up on being a teacher, improve my skills on some new things, and of course, go to the beach.”

“I am going to do a little bit of work, and then go to Oregon for a weeklong trip with my family and some good friends,” Social Studies teacher Kristin Martinez said. “That’s it for right now.”
