Gwen Bruneel (10) plays softball for the Dos Pueblos High School softball team and has been playing since she was five years old. For Gwen, softball has been more than just a sport, but also a way to grow as a person and persevere through obstacles. “[Softball] has definitely taught me to not think about the mistakes that I’ve made, and just learn from them … and move on quickly,” Gwen said. As a Christian, she is also passionate about her faith. Christianity has made her “a lot more confident and relaxed,” which improved her softball performance while also helping her enjoy the game and strengthen her friendships.
