The Image, Dos Pueblos High School’s yearbook production class, has completed another year of the DPHS yearbook, with a pickup party set for May 28. The program has worked all year long across both semesters to create this year’s edition, compiling important events and highlighting students’ accomplishments, core moments, and other memorable parts of the school year.
“The whole experience has been really, really fun,” DPHS Yearbook photo editor Everett Lemon (11) said. “I’ve made a lot of great memories with my friends. It’s a really great community in yearbook. We’ve had some stressful moments, and we’ve had some triumphs.”
The Image faced challenges throughout the year with deadlines, changes in designs, and other roadblocks, but the team has been able to persevere and overcome the obstacles.
“It’s yearbook,” Lemon said. “We got through them.”
This year’s yearbook pickup party will feature games, snacks, and other activities for students.
“If you were a student last year, it’s basically the same thing. You get there, you’ll get your yearbook,” Lemon said. “There’ll be tables out where you can sit with your friends and sign pages. For seniors, the first 100 that get there will get a free donut, and when you get your book, you’ll get a ticket you can bring to the Kona Ice truck for free Kona Ice. We’re going to have a lot of games, and it’s going to be a fun time to hang out with friends and sign yearbooks.”
Additionally, Lemon expressed his excitement for sharing the yearbook with the school, especially in the book’s photography.
“I really love the photography, and I think overall with how we’ve covered all the different communities and all the different people within yearbook, we’re all really proud of how we were able to capture student life at DP and all the different aspects of it,” Lemon said.
The yearbook pickup party will take place on Thursday, May 28, with pickup times at 8 a.m., lunch, and after school for seniors, and after school for grades 9-11.
