Dos Pueblos’s week-long Thanksgiving break is approaching. Yet, it seems that very few students intend to use the break for anything special.

“I’m actually not doing anything,” Olivia Farly (11) said. “Literally nothing.”

Other students will have a Thanksgiving dinner. This is what Arthur Bonifield (11) said his family was doing.

“We’re gonna have some food,” Bonifield said. “Just a nice family dinner. We don’t usually do a lot of Thanksgiving stuff.”

This is not an uncommon answer. Daniel Montiel (12) has similar plans for his Thanksgiving break.

“Probably just gonna be with family, I might try and hang out with some friends,” Montiel said.

However, not every student follows this trend. Makenna Earl (12), is planning on using her Thanksgiving break to the fullest.

“I believe my family is going down to Arizona to do some hiking because we love seeing the scenery over there,” Earl said.

Jobe Janzen (12) loves to listen and sing to rap, and even spends time creating his own bars. Not only does he rap as a hobby but he also uses it as a way to relieve stress and express himself. “I like how rap really isn’t about the beat, but mainly about the lyrics. I think a lot, and it’s really fun spitting a problem I have or just the way I’m feeling into a form of art.”
