Student Spotlight: Angelia Pagliaro
Angelia Pagliaro is a freshman here at DP and so far she is enjoying the high school experience.
“So academics wise, it’s been pretty good. It was mostly friendships and working on that, because there’s so many people here, just finding the right people,” she said.
Angelia is involved in a number of activities on campus including sports and theater. Her favorite activity is softball.
“Softball is [probably my favorite] just because I really enjoy the community that I have. And I love going out to the fields every day and just being with these people that understand you and are kind of like a second family to you,” Angelia said.
She is also very active in the community and volunteers for Heart’s Therapeutic Riding and Goleta Presbyterian Church.
When Angelia has time after sports and volunteering, she enjoys hanging out with her friends.
“I like going to group activities to just be with people that I feel like welcomed and supported by,” she said.
She believes that highschool can be tough but so far has been pleasantly surprised and is excited to see what comes next.
“I think our community is really good here. And I love always seeing different people interacting with different things in sports and clubs. It seems like everyone is pretty supportive. And I think it’s a good place to be, even though you kind of have to be [here].”
