Joel Cuevas (12) enjoys playing his grandfather’s acoustic guitar along with an electric guitar in his free time. His passion for music is expressed through his favorite songs, including “I Want Wind to Blow” by The Microphones, which he learned completely by ear. “I like learning songs by ear because it feels really rewarding,” Joel said. The next song he wants to learn is “Flimsier” by King Krule. At school, Joel is in the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy and wants to study mechanical engineering after graduating.
