The Dos Pueblos High School Spring Pep Rally took place on March 21. The marching band opened the pep rally with a performance, which was followed by the spring sports teams and the mock trial team. The pep rally ended with a round of musical chairs, which was won by Kaarlo Anderson (11).

Leo Quinkert, News Editor
Leo Quinkert (12) enjoys photographing historic buildings and documenting how they change over time. “You’ll go to a certain place and it’ll look one way, and then when you go back a week or a month later, it’ll be completely different,” Leo said. This year Leo took up the role of News Editor role for The Charger Account. His advice for anyone interested in journalism is to “stick it out” through the foundation phase. “It gets really, really good after the first [couple of] weeks,” Leo said. “Once you start interviewing people and writing stuff, it’s so much fun.”

Joel Cuevas, Reporter
Joel Cuevas (11) enjoys both art and the outdoors. In his free time, Joel likes to create images in Photoshop and make 3D models in Blender. His favorite class is engineering with the Dos Pueblos Engineering Academy, where he uses SolidWorks CAD to design his projects. In addition, for outdoor activities, he enjoys biking and skiing. “Me and my family go up to Mammoth to ski in the winter, and it’s really fun,” Joel said
Madelynn Le, Opinions Editor
Madelynn Le (12) has a passion for helping others, leading her to become the vice president of Dos Pueblos High School’s Ethnic Studies Now! club. She also volunteers at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital every Sunday, where she’s racked up over 300 volunteer hours. Madelynn is a naturally talkative person and seeks out making connections in her community. “I enjoy meeting new people,” Madelynn said. “I like to compliment people when I meet them … It’s a great way to build and connect, so I find that enjoyable.”
