Joshua: Joshua Lopez Mendoz, grade 11. My comfort food is Deja Vu chicken tenders and fries because they are cheap and easy to access.

Eviyan: My name is Eviyan Islas, I am in 11th grade. My favorite comfort food is like Cheez-It’s or something because they taste really good.

Joaquin Santamaria (12) poses in his “Hatebreed” band tee, the same band that inspired him to start his own band, “Step Up.” Joaquin’s band has played at numerous gigs in the Santa Barbara area. “I love performing at Soul Bites downtown … the crowd is always great, and the sound is amazing and crisp,” Joaquin said.
Evie Pazan (12) proudly sports their ‘I love my girlfriend’ shirt, an homage to their partner, Michelle. What started as a “silly thing” one year ago at school, has blossomed into a thriving long-distance relationship. “She just makes me so happy. Seeing her being happy makes me so happy.”
