About the Contributors
Lucy Wilder
Lucy Wilder, Reporter
Lucy Wilder (10) holds an impressively woven blue and green snake that she crocheted herself. Lucy has been crocheting for about three years; she enjoys making her own clothes and one day might sell her creations. “I like to make little stuffed animals and stuff to give out as presents,” she said.
Julia Lovan
Julia Lovan, Copy Editor
Julia Lovan (10) stands triumphantly behind the stand as she reminisces on her victims, both in battle and in court. Julia has always been competitive and has been training in Aikido since age four, and when it comes to her role as a Mock Trial prosecutor, she's even more terrifying. “There was this one trial where I was on cross examination…as a witness,” she said. “This poor defense attorney could not get me to say what he wanted me to say and eventually gave up, which was pretty satisfying to watch.”
Mika Glasgow
Mika Glasgow, Copy Editor
Mika Glasgow (9) has raised pet rats for a large portion of her life, feeling as though rats are an undervalued and misunderstood pet. Recently, two of her three pet rats died, and she was left with her aggressive and least-favorite rat, Erwin, whom she is looking to rehome. “If you know anyone who wants a rat, like genuinely hit me up,” Mika said.
