Leaf Meehan (10) was born in New York and moved to Santa Barbara before middle school, and says she enjoys it here more. She is enthusiastic about the law, and wants to have her own law firm when she grows up. She is also passionate about how artificial intelligence should be managed in school settings. “Schools should keep AI out of the curriculum,” Leaf said. At school, she is a member of the speech and debate club, and she also enjoys creating art, such as making paintings and using oil pastels.
