This week, hundreds of students are gearing up for Dos Pueblos High School’s Night At The Disco themed homecoming dance. This event is open to all grades, and is taking place on Sept. 21.
This year’s homecoming is taking place in the Sovine Gym, and will feature an outdoor space in the area behind the gym.
Multiple students have concerns regarding the location of the dance. Julissa Corado (10), who attended last year’s homecoming, shared her thoughts about the dance being in the gym.
“I went last year and it was really fun,” Corado (10) said. “Sometimes it gets hot, but I like that they have the outdoor area.”
Other students who have been to homecoming before shared their likes and dislikes regarding the dance.
“It’s a fun way to hang out with friends and show school spirit,” Adele Wrench (11) said. “I enjoyed it, but I don’t like waiting in really long lines to get in.”
For many students, the event is a good way to socialize and get involved in the school community.
Niko Campuzano (9) is going and said it’s a “good way to meet new people.”
