On Tuesday, April 9, Dos Pueblos Boys Lacrosse hosted Cate School for their fourth league game and ninth overall game of the season. They are now first in Channel League with a record of 4-0.

In the first quarter of the game, Cate kept up with DP, but DP ended three ahead, with a score of 5-2. After the first quarter, DP picked up speed and led the following quarters by over five points.

Offensive attackmen Orion Prewarski (11) and Daniel Finneran (11) each had four goals. Prewarski had four assists and Finneran had six. Gus Miller (11) scored three goals and two assists, as well as scooping up five ground balls.

“After a slow first quarter, our guys really responded to the tough, physical play that Cate was showing us,” Coach Lucas Martinez said. “Those guys are the reigning league champs and we knew they were gonna be tough.”

The boys played Thatcher on April 11, where they won 18-3. They play Cate again on April 16 at Cate School.
