Samantha Salcido (11) loves the ocean, nature, and the planet as a whole. In addition to surfing and playing beach volleyball, she plans to help bring nature to the forefront in The Charger Account. “I hope that in journalism this year, I get to use it to do something to do with nature,” Samantha said. “Instead of just sitting down and writing…I’d like to be able to go out [and] take photos, ask people about their favorite surf spots.”
