Freshman Lucy Cabrera has been sketching out her emotions from a very young age. “I love cartoons. I love these little fantasy kinds of things, and I like to build my own type of fantasy,” She said. She hopes to pursue this passion as a career, beginning with a project that conveys the special bonds with the dogs she has owned over time. “My dogs…really changed my life,” Lucy said. She intends to bring this story to life using animation, a suggestion made by her stepdad. “I’m learning how to draw from imagination…Then, I can achieve my dream job of becoming an animator.”
