Justin Powell (11) has been involved in journalism since junior high and continued his passion through high school, he joined DP News and The Charger Account. Justin said one of his most fulfilling accomplishments was creating his own news segment, Anchors with Athletes, for which he was the anchor. Outside of his creative endeavors, Justin plays soccer for the Santa Barbara Soccer Club. “My proudest achievement in soccer was probably when my team made it to Maryland for this big tournament,” Justin said. “We got to play a bunch of pro academy teams … and that was a pretty proud moment for our team.” Justin intends to continue playing soccer in college.
