Anna Gray (12) enjoys softball, art, and spending time with friends. Anna has been playing softball since she was nine and it’s a sport that has brought her a lot of close friends. “[Softball] is a way that I get to spend time with the people that I’m really, really close with,” Anna said. She also enjoys the competitive and strategic aspect of softball. “It’s a game that is really interesting,” Anna said. “I’m very competitive and I like working hard in athletics … I like putting in the work and seeing the results. It just feels really rewarding.”

Aside from softball, Anna also enjoys art and she finds it to be not only as a fun outlet but also a way to express what she feels emotionally. “You feel this way, express it, then you have this product at the end,” Anna said. Like softball, art is something that Anna has been doing for a while. “I used to paint at my Grandma’s house when I would visit her,” Anna said. “Then it was just something that I kept doing and taking classes. Now it’s just something I do when I have free time.”
