On Thursday, May 23, a red sedan drove into the 7390 Calle Real 7-Eleven.
The car with two male passengers crashed through a glass wall of the store at around 3:30 p.m.. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after at around 3:35 p.m. and assisted with cleanup.
The 90 year-old driver was brought to Goleta Valley Cottage hospital with minor injuries. No customers or employees inside the store were injured.
The store has since been reopened and is boarded up with plywood.
This is not the first incident at this location. In June of 2016, an SUV crashed into the store with none injured.
